Sorella Yoga is where yoga, wellness, positivity, and guidance serve to support you and your journey to feeling vibrant and well. Developed by Megan Porpeglia, Sorella Yoga provides offerings around yoga and wellness to incorporate into your daily life and routine. We believe that taking care of your mind and body is a top priority and cannot be overlooked. Even the smallest of changes can have a large impact on your energy and well being. When incorporating small changes, it is vital to remain consistent. It is our intention to offer guidance on ways to make changes and commit to them everyday. When your mind and body feel well, your world reflects all of that feel good-ness.

Megan Porpeglia is an Upstate New York native. Growing up, she played team sports such as basketball, soccer and volleyball. It wasn’t until she was 15 when she discovered yoga through a DVD! Ever since, she has been curious to learn more about incorporating this practice into her life. In 2014, Megan completed her 200 HR yoga teacher training at Shakti Yoga in Woodstock, NY. This was an intense learning experience where she learned anatomy, Ayurveda practices and theory, sequencing, and completed a teaching internship.

When Megan is not practicing or teaching yoga, she is probably in her painting studio, hiking with her friends and pup Nacho, cooking for friends, or hanging with family. The Adirondack Mountains are her second home and she goes there as often as she is able.

Megan’s style of teaching combines the power and strength of Hatha yoga and the fluidity and rhythm of Vinyasa. She believes the practice of yoga is serious, but should also be fun, flowing, consistent, and inspiring.
